Support Services

Our Support Services help provide informational assistance to individuals with brain injury, as well as their families and caregivers.

Family Helpline - Call our Family Helpline 800-444-6443 if you have questions about information and resources available to individuals with brain injury and their families.

Support Groups - Support groups are an excellent way to connect with other individuals with brain injuries and their families.  These groups provide opportunities learn from others who have gone through similar situations, share personal experiences, and make new friends.

Family Support - Our Information & Referral Specialists are available to help guide you through situations that may happen when living with brain injury. Based on your individual needs, our specialists provide valuable information, advocacy, and other resources that you may require.

Education Opportunities

The Brain Injury Association of Idaho provides a number of educational opportunities for persons with brain injury, their loved ones and professionals. Please contact our office at 208.367.2747 for more information.

Brain Injury Basics: 

This program will define brain injury, discuss common side effects of brain injury, suggest ways for persons with brain injury to compensate for their injuries, and give tips about how to relate to a person who has sustained a brain injury. This introductory class is useful for both people living with brain injury and the people who serve them - from health care workers to school teachers.

The class is free to persons with brain injury and their family members. The registration fee for professionals is $50.

Brain Injury Basics for Professionals:

This 3 hour program will provide professionals with an introduction to the causes and residual effects of brain injury and the implications of brain injury on service delivery.
